  • What is LeanPasta?

    LeanPasta is a great substitute for pasta and noodles and easy to incorporate into your current lifestyle. LeanPasta is low on calories and carbs making it a great meal choice for your diet.

    How is LeanPasta low on calories and carbohydrates?

    LeanPasta is naturally made from a vegetable called Konjac, which produces a high fibre (called glucomannan) that is a low calorie and low carbohydrate food.

    LeanPasta is not new to the market; it has been popular in Asia for over a thousand years, specifically in Japan and China.  It is also commonly known and identified by other names including; Konjac noodles or Shirataki noodles.  Commonly known health benefits of konjac and glucomannan includes lower cholesterol, lower blood glucose, and body weight management.

    While LeanPasta is very light, the nutritional fibre provides a feeling of fullness to your diet. It is a great substitute for high carbohydrate foods that can also be high in calories. 

  • What is the difference between LeanPasta and other ordinary Pasta I buy in supermarkets?

    LeanPasta is a great alternative to ordinary pasta and wheat based pasta. LeanPasta is a low calorie, low carbohydrate and gluten free choice for pasta or noodle lovers making it a must-have item for your household. 

    LeanPasta is made from a plant called Konjac, and it contains a rich water-soluble dietary fibre. Konjac is composed of mostly water, however its dietary fibre aids in digestion.

    LeanPasta can be easily used for your favourite pasta, noodle or stir fry dishes. When you consume LeanPasta you will be taking in fewer calories so that you can successfully manage your weight while still feeling full and satisfied after your meals.  To prepare the pasta, it only requires that you drain, rinse, boil, and serve. It’s a simple, affordable way to maintain a low calorie and low carbohydrate diet, while still enjoying your favourite pasta and noodle dishes. 

    As LeanPasta is made from Konjac, it does not have the same texture to Wheat pasta and will be slightly firmer to bite.

  • What is Konjac?

    The Konjac plant is a well known vegetable in Asian countries, widely grown in China, Japan, India and Korea and has been consumed in this region for more than 1000 years.  The perennial plant grows from a large corn up to 25 cm in diameter with single leaves of up to 1.3 m across.

    These leaves are so-called bipinnate, which means that they are divided into numerous smaller leaflets. The flower is a dark red and grows up to 55 cm long.

    The high fibre produced from Konjac is known as Glucomannan.  Glucomannan is a water-soluble polysaccharide that is considered a soluble dietary fibre. Dietary fibre makes you feel full faster therefore it can be helpful in weight-management. Fibre aids the digestion system and is, beneficial to the prevention of constipation. It has also been used for the treatment of heart disease, diabetes and diverticulosis.

    Soluble fibre is found in fruits, vegetables, oat bran, barley, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils and peas. Soluble fibre has been scientifically proven to lower cholesterol, which can help prevent heart disease.


  • Is LeanPasta a diet program or meal replacement diet?

    The quick answer is No.  However, we have created a 30 day LeanPasta challenge for those wanting to incorporate LeanPasta into a healthy and balanced nutritional diet program with regular exercise. Learn more..

  • How do I cook LeanPasta?

    1.  Open LeanPasta bag, drain away fluid and rinse LeanPasta under running water

    2.  Leave in hot / boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then drain

    3.  Add LeanPasta to your favourite pasta sauce, stir-fry, soup or salad!

  • How much LeanPasta can I have in a day?

    You wouldn’t consume wheat pasta for Breakfast, lunch and dinner.. would you?!

    We recommend you consume LeanPasta with a nutritional diet to ensure you are maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.  One to two servings of LeanPasta per day is sufficient for your daily intake with a healthy, balanced diet.

  • Once cooked, can I eat LeanPasta for left overs the next day?

    We recommend you consume the whole LeanPasta packet once it has been opened. However, if you are planning not to consume the full packet, then you can refrigerate the amount of LeanPasta you do not wish to eat before preparing the remainder of the packet. In other words, only cook/prepare the portion you are going to consume. Cook and consume LeanPasta within 2 days of opening.

  • Can I consume LeanPasta if it has past its Best Before Date?

    We do not encourage nor do we recommend consuming LeanPasta beyond its Best Before Date.
